Looking for space saving tips to learn how to use every square inch of your storage space? Take a few minutes and review these tips to maximize your Legendary Self Storage unit.

Special storage racks, hanging racks, business storage bins, storage containers and the like are available for both business and home storage both long and short term. If you need to store office furniture, desks, files and cabinets, conference tables, chairs, white boards and the like, don't forget to make a list and organize the unit into things you need first toward the front, and long term items toward the back of the storage unit.

1. Store couches on end (on pallets to allow air circulation), remove cushions, store on top, stack garment boxes in the cushion area.
2. Inventory your items and keep your list in a safe place.
3. Plan your storage space. Frequently accessed items should be placed toward the front.
4. For easier stacking try to use boxes or containers of uniform size.
5. For easy identification label all your containers and boxes including the contents of each box.
6. Seal all your boxes with packing tape.
7. Dish pack boxes provide safe storage of your dishes and glasses. Wrap all dishes and glasses individually with packing paper.
8. Completely fill boxes even if you have to use newspaper to fill the empty space. This will help prevent boxes from collapsing.
9. Boxes packed with your heaviest items should be on the bottom with your lightest boxes on the top.
10. To avoid moisture from accumulating, pack your boxes and other items close together.
11. Leave a gap between the walls of your unit for ventilation.
12. Mirrors and pictures should be packed in mirrors boxes or crates and stood on end.
13. Furniture and drawers make great storage spaces for small items.
14. Clothing, curtains, and drapes should be stored on hangers. We sell wardrobe boxes with hangers in our store.
15. Tables with removable legs should be broken down to save space.
16. Your refrigerator should be dry and the door left ajar to prevent mold from growing inside.
17. Sofas, couches, and love seats should be covered with a waterproof cover and stored on end. Cover cushions in plastic and store on top.
18. Pack books flat to protect their spines.
19. Use a mattress cover and store your mattress on end keeping it firmly braced to prevent it from bending and becoming lumpy.
20. Rakes, shovels, hoses, etc can be stored together in empty trash cans.
